Two Mound Westonka High School seniors have committed to pursuing academics and athletics at the collegiate level next year. Jack Nelson and Averie Zealley made their decisions official by signing letters of intent in front of family, friends, teachers, staff and coaches at the Westonka Performing Arts Center on November 8.

Nelson, a three-time state champion wrestler, will be continuing his athletic career at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. Zealley will join the rowing team at the University of Portland in Oregon.

Westonka Activities Director Jeff Peterson said, "Congrats to Jack and Averie! We are very proud of your accomplishments and leadership. "
