The Mound Westonka High School Dance Team is once again headed to the state tournament. Following a sweep of the Wright County Conference competition in January, the varsity jazz and kick teams both took second place at the Section 3AA Dance Team Tournament on Feb. 10. This will be the Hawkettes' 18th consecutive trip to state.
The state jazz dance tournament will be held at Target Center in Minneapolis on Friday, Feb. 16. The Hawkettes take the floor at approximately 2:08 p.m. The Class AA jazz finalists will be announced at 4:15 p.m. and will compete starting at 7:15 Friday night.
The state high kick tournament will be held at Target Center on Saturday, Feb. 17. The Hawkettes take the floor at approximately 2:00 p.m. The Class AA kick finalists will be announced at 4:15 p.m. and will compete starting at 7:15 Saturday night.
