Sophomore Sean Dolder swimming the 500 freestyle
The Westonka boys swim team finished the regular season strong versus Waconia.
First in the pool was the 200 IM relay team of ninth grader Tyler Finley, eighth grader Brody Helms, eighth grader Connor Shaw and ninth grader Niles Senn, who came in with a time of 2:18:97 and took seventh place overall. The 200 Free was swum by sophomore Sean Dolder, Shaw and Brody Helms, who finished seventh, eighth and 11th overall. Senn dove in for the team, swimming the 200 IM.
Next up was the 50 Free swum by senior Bryce Helms in first place (22.84) and his brother sophomore Wyatt Helms (25:21) in eighth place overall. The 100 Fly varsity heat was swum by sophomore Eren Alemdar (1:05:28), who took seventh place overall. Finley came in second place overall in the 100 Fly JV heat. The 100 Free was swum by brothers Bryce (50.58) and Wyatt Helms (54.96), taking first and seventh places overall. The 500 Free JV heat was swum by Senn and Finley coming in at second and third place overall.
The varsity 500 Free heat was swum by Dolder, who took fifth place overall. The 200 Free B relay team of Shaw, Senn, Brody Helms and Finley took third place overall in the JV heat. The A relay of Dolder, Bryce Helms, Wyatt Helms and Alemdar took third overall in the varsity relay.
The JV heat of the 100 Back was swum by Alemdar and Shaw, who took first and third place overall. The 100 Breast was swum by Brody Helms in the JV heat, taking second overall with a time of 1:23:80. The A relay team for the 400 Free Relay was made up of Alemdar, Dolder, Wyatt Helms and Brody Helms, who came in with a time of 3:47:19 for fourth place overall.
Next up for your White Hawks will be the section tournament held at Saint Catherine’s University Feb. 21-23.
