The White Hawks took the show on the road once again and traveled to St. Anthony Village on January 16.

Mound Westonka boys basketball team took the show on the road once again and traveled to St. Anthony Village on Jan. 16.  The up-tempo game kept both teams alive and pushing the ball.

The White Hawks were down 33-35 at half. The second half opened with the White Hawks taking the lead, and they kept the lead throughout most of the second half. The visitors ended up on top with a score of 74-66.

Junior Jacob Orenge provided the spark Westonka needed in the second half, finishing with 16 points, seven rebounds and five assists. Junior Matthew Mobagi was excellent defensively, shutting down the Huskies' best offensive player in the second half.

The Holy Family Fire came to town on Jan. 19. The game was a back-and-forth duel from the start. Westonka kept a high scoring offense to 23 points in the first half but turned the ball over too many times, holding onto a 25-23 lead at halftime.

In the second half, the strong defense continued, but unfortunately so did the White Hawks' turnovers. The Fire went on a run late in the game to push it out of reach for the White Hawks and a final score of 63-54.

The White Hawks travel to Delano on Thursday, Jan. 25, for a conference matchup. They return to the Hawks' Nest on Saturday, Jan. 27, for a home game against Richfield. Let’s fill the gym and support the White Hawks!
