Coming off a great 2020-21 season, where the Mound Westonka boys tennis team made a run to the state tournament and even played for the state title, it looked like it was going to be a rebuilding year for the White Hawks in 2022.  Although they graduated 8 of the 12 varsity players from the state team, this season ended up being far from a rebuilding year.

The team is led by senior captains Max Epsky, Blake Lee, Quinn Vochko and Jake Gaylord, plus returning varsity players Carter Reinbold, Charlie Paul, and Jackson Briggs. The White Hawks went 12-4 in the regular season, including 5-0 in the Wright County Conference, winning it.

Advancing to team Sections as the No. 4 seed in the Northern Subsection in 2AA, the White Hawks played fifth-seeded Waconia in the first round. Westonka beat the Wildcats by a convincing score of 7-0 on May 17. The White Hawks went on to face the No. 1 seed, Eden Prairie, in the subsection semifinals on May 19 and lost 7-0.
