The girls gymnastics season has come to an end with a banquet and awards ceremony. The team had a successful year with an 8-0 winning season. They were section champions for the 11th year in a row, and eight gymnasts qualified for state as individuals.
Senior Maddie Sanders walked away as a recipient of the All-State award. She also received an All-Conference award and an All-State Academic award. Sanders was an individual state qualifier and competed for the state team. She took home a varsity letter and was named MVP along with junior Erica Johnson.
Johnson was a recipient of the All-State Honorable Mention award and received the All-Conference award. She took home an All-State Academic award and shared the MVP award with Sanders. Johnson was an individual state qualifier and competed on the state team. She also received her varsity letter.
Junior Norah Kelley was awarded the All-Conference Honorable Mention and All-State Honorable Mention awards. She also received the All-State Academic award. Kelley was an individual state qualifier and competed on the state team. She also received her varsity letter.
Junior Marley Hagan received an All-State Academic award and All-State Honorable Mention. She competed on the state team and received her varsity letter.
