MSHSL Behavior Expectations

I want to take a moment to talk about the importance of our behavior in the student section during sporting events. We all know how exciting it can be to cheer on our teams, but it's important that we create a positive and respectful environment for everyone involved.

Here are a few things to keep in mind:

  1. Respect for All: Let’s show respect to opposing teams and their fans. A little sportsmanship goes a long way!
  2. Support Your Team: Cheer loudly and proudly, but keep it encouraging and uplifting. We want to be known for our spirit, not negativity.
  3. Be Mindful of Others: Remember that families and younger fans are often in the stands too. Let’s set a great example for them.
  4. School Dress Code Still Applies: Clothing that advertises alcohol or drugs is not allowed.
  5. Have Fun: Sporting events are about community and enjoyment! Let’s make memories that we can all look back on with pride.

One resource we are using is the Behavior Expectations the Minnesota State High School League created in cooperation with students throughout the state of Minnesota (pictured). Please take a moment to review these expectations with your family.

Go White Hawks!
