After falling to Orono 105 to 81 on Sept. 17, fortunes reversed for the Westonka-Holy Family girls swim and dive team two days later, with WHF cruising to a win over Dassel-Cokato. Notably, junior diver Erica Johnson beat her previous Westonka school record (232.50) with a score of 237.65, and seniors Annemarie Johnson and Camille Ness tied for first in the 50 Free with times of 26.39.
Coach Ben Hanson balanced the three varsity 400 Free Relay teams and gave them a challenge: if all three finished under 4 minutes, there’d be no practice on Friday (Homecoming). There was no practice.
The WHF ladies will be away next, visiting Litchfield on Thursday, Sept. 26.
