The Westonka-Holy Family (WHF) girls swim and dive team hosted Delano in its second dual meet of the season on Sept. 12. Unfortunately, Delano outscored the White Hawks by 20 points (103 to 83).
This was an always-a-bridesmaid, never-the-bride sort of meet. WHF took second in all three relays: C Ness (SR), M Dongoske (FR), J Juras (SO) and O Sullivan (SR) in the 200 Medley; C Ness, I Starr (JR), G Warden (SR) and A Johnson (SR) in the 200 Freestyle and A Johnson, I Starr, O Sullivan and M Dongoske in the 400 Free Individually, Annemarie Johnson (SR) took second in the 200 Free, Jaylen Juras (SO) took second in the 100 Butterfly, Onna Sullivan (SR) took second in the 100 Back and Mia Dongoske (FR) took second in the 100 Breast.
There were a few swimmers who made the top of the podium. Mia Dongoske took first in the 200 IM with a 29.04, Annemarie Johnson took first in the 500 Free with a 5:32.29 and Erica Johnson (JR) was the top diver with a score of 230.95
WHF hosts two home meets next/this week, Orono on Tuesday (Sept. 17) and Dassel-Cokato on Thursday (Sept. 19).
