September 28, 2023 — We’ve had a great Homecoming Week so far and are excited for all of the events still to come on Friday, September 29. Please take time to review some important details.

Homecoming Parade

Due to area road construction, the homecoming parade will take place on the Mound Westonka High School campus at 5 p.m. tomorrow, Friday, Sept. 29. Parade participants must arrive at the staging area between fields 2 and 3 on Sunnyfield Road E between 4:15 and 4:45 p.m. on Friday. Important: Sunnyfield Road will be CLOSED to through traffic starting at 4:50 p.m. Friday and will remain closed for approximately 1 hour.

Parking

Parking will be limited on the high school campus on Friday; therefore, carpooling is strongly encouraged. We expect high attendance at the football game, so please give yourself plenty of time to arrive at the scheduled events Friday evening.

WAC Closing Early Friday

Due to Homecoming festivities, the Westonka Activity Center will close at 4 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 29.

Homecoming Friday Schedule - Sept. 29, 2023

• 7:30 a.m. - alumni breakfast, MWHS cafeteria
• 5 p.m. - parade, MWHS campus
• 5-6:30 p.m. - $5 hot dog meals (sold by the Football Boosters), outside Haddorff Field
• 6-7 p.m. - carnival, outside Haddorff Field (cash only for carnival activities/food)
• 6:15 p.m. - Hawk Walk outside Haddorff Field
• 7 p.m. - White Hawks football vs. Orono, Haddorff Field (also via livestream)
• 8:30 p.m. - bonfire, outside Haddorff Field
