The Mound Westonka Composite Mountain Bike Team raced in their second race of the season at White Tail Ridge in River Falls, Wisconsin.

This past weekend, the local Mound Westonka Composite Mountain Bike Team raced in their second race of the season at White Tail Ridge in River Falls, Wisconsin. The weather was cool and cloudy on Sunday, September 18, making for excellent racing weather.

White Hawks freshman rider Max Bryan placed 18th overall, with fellow freshman Ethan Carver coming in at 32nd out of 53 total riders in that division. In the JV2 division, where racers go around the race course twice, White Hawks senior Sam Burns squeaked out an exciting 15th-place finish, less than three tenths of a second before junior Brayden Mayer sprinted across the line in a photo finish, both beating more than 60 other racers in their division.

Junior Robbie Davis and senior captain Max Buescher competed in the JV3 division, where their three laps around the course left them in 53rd and 64th place, respectively, out of 105 racers. Next, the Mountain Bike Team takes their shredding skills to Pine Valley Trail in Cloquet, Minnesota.
