Mound Westonka High School head football coach Nick David was presented with the Don Swanson Award at the Minnesota Football Coaches Association (MFCA) Awards Banquet on April 2.
According to the MFCA, “The Don Swanson Award represents exemplary service to the MFCA. It is presented annually to a member of our association who personifies what the late Don Swanson exemplified: unconditional service to and for football in Minnesota.”
Coach David has served the MFCA in several ways, on the MFCA Executive Committee, as MFCA Individual Academic All-State Awards Chair, on the MFCA Clinic Committee, and as a Twin Cities Football Subdistrict Representative. Coach David also serves on the MSHSL Football Advisory Board.
“I am very grateful for this recognition,” David said. “Swannie was monumental to this association."
"Serving this organization, working hard to be a Keeper of the Game, and working for coaches, players, and football has been very fulfilling for me," David added. "I look forward to serving the MFCA and Minnesota high school football in general for many years to come.”
