White Hawks Boys Basketball is State Bound!

The No. 3-seeded White Hawks defeated the top-seeded Orono Spartans 77-76 on March 17 to claim the Section 6AAA Championship.

For the first time in nearly 50 years, Mound Westonka High School is headed to the MSHSL Boys Basketball State Tournament. The No. 3-seeded White Hawks defeated the top-seeded Orono Spartans 77-76 on March 17 to claim the Section 6AAA Championship. Senior Jason Spaeth led the White Hawks with 24 points on the night. Mound Westonka’s last state appearance came in 1974.

The Section Champion White Hawks will move on to compete in the state quarterfinals on Tuesday, March 22, at Williams Arena. Game time TBD. More information can be found on the MSHSL website: https://www.mshsl.org/sports-and-activities/basketball-boys.
