Students in grades K-7 are once again invited to participate in the Junior Hawkettes Dance Camp. The camp will be held after school February 28-March 3 in the Mound Westonka High School cafeteria. Participants will learn basic dance technique and three different dance routines from MWHS Hawkettes dance team members. For students in grades 6 and 7, there will be Hawkettes Tryout Prep included in their instruction. Typically, 80-100 young dancers from the Westonka community take part in this annual event.

The week of camp concludes with a special performance at the 19th Annual Hawkettes Dance Spectacular on Thursday, March 3 at 7 p.m. The Spectacular is the dance team's final show of the season, and it includes dance performances from the high school dance team and all of the Junior Hawkettes Dance Camp groups. The Dance Spectacular will be held in the MWHS gym.
