Mound Westonka High School Theatre is excited to present the smash hit musical "Something Rotten!" to all audiences November 18–21 at the Westonka Performing Arts Center.

"Something Rotten!" takes place in 1595 London. The Bottom brothers, Nick and Nigel, are trying to find success by writing plays but are outshined by the rock-star playwright of the Renaissance, William Shakespeare. Desperate to find success, Nick gets help from a soothsayer for the next big hit.

Then Nostradamus, Nick and Nigel set out to write the next big hit: "Omelette: The Musical." With its heart on its ruffled sleeve and sequins in its soul, "Something Rotten!" is an uproarious dose of pure fun and an irresistible ode to musicals — those dazzling creations that entertain us, inspire us and remind us that everything’s better with an exclamation point!

This year's show features 38 actors in grades eight through 12, including 12 seniors who will take the stage. Behind the actors, the technical crews include 20 students from all high school grades with the leadership of seven seniors. Filling out the show and helping make the music behind it all is the pit orchestra, featuring 12 great student musicians.

Performances will be held November 18, 19 and 20 at 7 p.m. and November 21 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students and seniors.
