This year's annual Mound Westonka High School Fall Collaboration Choir Concert will feature Cantabile, Bel Canto, Concert Choir and Madd Jazz, along with 17 dancers from WestMet Classical Training. The concert will be held at the Westonka Performing Arts Center, free of charge, on Friday, Oct. 29, at 7 p.m.
You are invited to join them for an evening of stunning repertoire and contemporary dance that will be exploring the elements of earth, wind, water and fire. Highlights include a new arrangement of "What a Wonderful World" featuring senior vocal soloist Gray Paguyo; a stunning setting of "I'll Be Seeing You" by jazz composer Phil Mattson; and "Fire" by Canadian composer Katerina Gimon, who was featured in an online master class.
Donations will be accepted at the door, if you wish to donate to this collaboration. A $10 donation is suggested.
About WestMet Classical Training
WestMet Classical Training was created to inspire young dancers to achieve excellence in their technique, and a love for this art form that transcends a physical career in ballet. Located in Long Lake, Minnesota, their goal is to become a national landing place for serious pre-professional ballet students wanting the most out of their training and future.
