Mound Westonka High School senior volleyball player Hannah Drill won the first Most Valuable Teammate (MVT) Award of the 2021-22 school year. The Minnesota State High School League and Wells Fargo sponsor the weekly award program to recognize students who exemplify the qualities of a great teammate.

Drill's nominator wrote:

"Hannah exemplifies everything a good teammate should me. She comes early to practice and stays late to put equipment away. She is coachable and always strives to make herself and her teammates better. She is a leader as one of our captains, an excellent communicator and an exemplary liaison between the players and coaches. Everyone trusts and enjoys Hannah. She is the light of our team."

Drill will receive an MVT certificate and will also be recognized in a special scoreboard feature during the fall, winter and spring state tournaments.
